For Seniors

A roundup of the century’s best loved musical memories told in story, song and guitar. Denis “Denny” Colleret celebrates favorite songs, artists and themes on a ride down melody trail with songs made famous by America’s greatest Country and Western stars. Those who remember “Your Hit Parade” and the saddle serials of Republic Pictures will recognize the material presented in this program. This format is crafted for the senior audience and has been favorably received by residents and activity professionals throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento areas. A typical hour would include about 25 songs accompanied by a variety of guitar styles and performed entirely from memory. It is an ideal choice for active seniors, assisted living and memory care facilities. Just a sample of titles from more than 300 songs:

“Don’t Fence Me In” Bing Crosby “Back In The Saddle” Gene Autry

“Sixteen Tons” Ernie Ford “Happy Trails” Roy Rogers

“South Of The Border” Gene Autry “Ragtime Cowboy Joe” Sons of the Pioneers

“Make The World Go Away” Eddy Arnold “Always” Patsy Cline

“Cool Water” Marty Robbins “San Antonio Rose” Bob Wills

“Springtime In The Rockies” Roy Rogers “Bouquet of Roses” Eddy Arnold

About Denny: I have been a professional musician since 1978. Since 2010 it has been my privilege to perform exclusively for senior communities. I truly love sharing the music of this era with folks who remember when these songs were new and would like a chance to bring this program to you and your residents.
